I have left EPFL !

My research activities are still on these pages, but the rest, in particular Linux ressources, are now on my new site hosted at IDIAP.

Me in my office

Welcome to my former cyberhome !

I have left EPFL in late 2001. This web space survived with some information about my research interests, in particular the page about my PhD thesis. The rest of my stuff, including some Linux ressources is now hosted here at IDIAP.

Thanks for dropping by and enjoy your visit !

My main research interest is about using Dynamic Delaunay triangulations to support distinct element simulation of granular materials in 3D. It has its own page.

Previous work in 2D done by Didier Müller can be seen here.
Didier and I wrote "Parallel Implementation of a Distinct Element Method for Granular Media Simulation on the Cray T3D".

After I left EPFL, Mats Weber took over the project for a while, and now Lionel Pournin is working on these issues.

I also spent some time on the graph diameter problem, more precisely on the parallel implementation of some algorithms.

Here is a little performance study of the hardware available at the DMA.

That's all folks!
